Time for some spring-cleaning

We’re open all year round and we present our luxurious cottages to a very high standard. But after a busy season (and 2017 was exceptionally busy for us!) we do like to take some time out for some good old-fashioned spring cleaning when we can.

And with the winter sun streaming through our windows, there is no better time than a crisp January day to get stuck in. Behind the scenes, we’ve been pretty busy already this year: steam cleaning carpets and touching up paintwork.

And we’ve also been busy refreshing some of the smaller touches that make our cottages feel like your home away from home. It matters to us whenever we go away that we stay somewhere well-equipped and clean – which is why you’ll find plenty of bathroom essentials and kitchenware in all of our cottages.

As well as the regular, ongoing maintenance work that keeps Tregongeeves looking lovely, for 2018 you’ll find brand new kitchens have been installed in two of our cottages.

And if you use the play barn with your small people we’re sure you’ll appreciate the new ground floor toilet that we’re putting in this month. (No more running out to the pool or back to your cottage!) We’re considering putting a second coffee machine upstairs too and while we can see that many of you like to browse news on your tablets or phones, we’ll still provide weekly newspapers  in case you do want to keep your eye en the outside world from your Cornish bolthole!

Today, we’ve promised ourselves a reward of a quick walk to the beach when the chores are done. The sun is bright and high but there is still a nip in the air (Cornwall has had a colder than usual start to the year). In case you missed it, do check out our top five dog-friendly beaches here.

We look forward to welcoming our next round of visitors in February – and let us know what you think of the changes.

Coronavirus Update – 24th March

We wanted to give you a quick update if you’ve booked with us or are wanting to in the coming months.

At the moment we are closed until the end of April and will continue to monitor the situations.  This is to ensure we can do our bit in helping to stop the spread of the virus – now is a time to stay at home and spend time with family there.  If you have a holiday booked with us or have any questions then please do give us a call or send us an email to mail@tregongeeves.co.uk

Whilst now isn’t the time for you to come to Cornwall, it’ll still be here when we get through this – we’ll see you again.

Take care and stay healthy

Judith and Family.
