With all those little extras that make your home away from home, a stay at Tregongeeves Farm takes a lot of the stress out of a holiday with children. From toddler to tween, Tregongeeves has lots to keep the whole family entertained. Along with beautiful Cornish beaches and countryside to explore, there are so many fantastic attractions to visit right on our doorstep.
Your home from home
A warm welcome
Whether you’ve travelled for an hour or for most of the day, you’ll be met with the warmest welcome. We’re your home away from home, with a few luxurious extras thrown in. If you’re travelling with small people we’ll provide a basket of age-appropriate toys. And all our guests are treated to a cream tea on arrival.
Everything you'll need
The cottages
With private courtyard spaces, a tennis court, play areas and our own heated indoor pool, our farm cottages have been designed with a whole holiday in mind. Families can enjoy time together during the day – but parents have some much-needed privacy in the evenings. We even take care to stock our kitchens with everyday items like tea towels!
Plenty to see and do
Explore the farm
Outside space at Tregongeeves is enclosed so that young family members can explore safely. Meet Pickles the pony, say hello to our sheep and collect eggs fresh from the chickens for your breakfast. Our outdoor play area has a slide, swings and ride-on car zone, and we’ve added extra wood chippings to help with soft landings!
Right on your doorstep
Family attractions
As well as an abundance of beaches and countryside to explore, Tregongeeves is lucky enough to have some of Cornwall’s very best attractions right on our doorstep. The world-famous Eden Project is a short drive away, and we always recommend a visit to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, and the nearby harbour village of Charlestown.
Keep them entertained
Toys & books
Don’t pack the whole toybox in the boot – we have a lovely selection here for your children to enjoy! We have a well-stocked toy chest with a range of toys and books to make a family break as easy as possible, so there’s no need to bring the toy box with you.
Something for everyone
Play barn
Our play barn is stocked with activities for the whole family – a toddler clamber zone, table tennis for teens and a pool table for the older ones. Let your little ones explore our Wendy house, train table, dressing up chest and bookshelf. Parents have use of our complimentary papers and coffee machine!
Everything your baby will need
Baby equipment
Cots and stairgates are available on request at no further cost. If you’re travelling with small children, we can also provide a ‘Peace of Mind’ pack that includes socket covers, steriliser, stair gate and plastic cutlery and plates, baby monitors and playmats. An additional Z-bed is also available on request for a small extra charge.

A favourite beach for families
Some of the most beautiful bays in Cornwall are just a short drive away. Porthpean, near the historic village of Charlestown, is our personal favorite. Just a 10-minute drive away and ideal for families, it’s a small cove with lovely rock pools to explore at low tide and is great for paddling. There’s plenty of parking and a seasonal café, with toilets open daily.
